Insurance Times Awards - Customer Champion of the Year Finalist

Insurance Times has recently announced the shortlist for its annual awards, with the winners being confirmed at an award ceremony taking place in London on Wednesday, 4 December.  Recognising the best of the best across the insurance industry – insurers and brokers alike - we wish everyone shortlisted the best of luck. 

 

The shortlists have been put together by Insurance Times in conjunction with a panel of expert industry analysts.  URIS Group has been shortlisted this year for its collaboration with RSA and Marsh, and we are proud that our teams have been recognised and are keeping our fingers crossed for a win in December!

 

Finalist Customer Champion of the year Award

 

URIS, in collaboration with RSA and Marsh, developed a new tenants contents online proposition which includes a website, online application journey and marketing toolkit.

 

This project was motivated by a commitment to help vulnerable communities and safeguard tenants in social housing. It empowers tenants to make better, more informed decisions about contents insurance in the wake of figures that showed dramatic falls in nationwide take-up despite significant risks and against the backdrop of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, a new regulatory framework and a cost of living crisis.


Recognising that paper-based application processes were a hurdle for many tenants, that many were facing financial constraints, that landlords lacked the time and confidence to effectively promote insurance and that many tenants were missing out on personalised coverage, we created a new online application process. URIS managed the build of the online application journey from start to finish, subsequently building a back office system for customer services to utilise, replacing the out dated FNOL Web system. We now host the online Journey on behalf of RSA, and manage all changes that may be required.


The new comprehensive tenants contents support package includes:

 

  • A new Uris built and hosted online application process, co-branded with each landlord, and written with vulnerable tenants in mind, it includes an interactive contents calculator.

  • Multiple application and support channels. We provide help for tenants needing additional support, with trained representatives available to guide them through the process.

  • An interactive marketing toolkit to give landlords the confidence that their promotional activity is accurate and compliant. It also provides answers to frequently asked questions and training materials for landlords to use with tenant-facing staff.

  • New marketing materials encompassing a wide range of assets ensuring landlords have what they need to communicate with tenants in a post-pandemic world.

  • Hints, tips, and training to support landlords.

  • A Website offering comprehensive, information on coverage, costs, optional extras, FAQs - assisting tenants in making informed decisions.
